Rotary juice screen for screening of waste water

Rotary Screen is used for municipal and industrial waste water treatment process. This equipment is very much use full prior to waste water treatment and therefore normally installed before treatment plant. Rotary Screen helps to separate fine and coarse material such as trash, cotton, paper, thick sand etc.

The unscreened waste water containing suspended solid particles comprising fine and coarse material like bagasse particles, trash, cotton, paper, thick sand etc. enters continuously from drive end of the drum through a distributor. The screened water is collected in the sloping half cylindrical shape bottom trough for quick removal of screened water to receiving tank. The separated solids keeps on rolling on the screen during its forward movement towards discharge end where the remaining water is also drained away leaving the solids on the screen which is discharged by gravity.

Based on capacity, percentage of solids contained, particle size distribution the design of Rotary Screen is decided i.e. inside to out or outside to in.

The rotary drum screen ensures a fine screening based on the selected opening of the screen. The opening is decided as per process requirement and PSD.
